Membership Benefits
Chartered in 1977, the San Diego Penn State Alumni Association Chapter with more than 2,500 alumni is one of the largest and most active Alumni Chapters in the nation. However, fewer than 10% pay annual dues. It takes a substantial fiscal budget to run the club and to run it well. We rely completely on the tax-deductible donations from alumni and friends like you to host enriching and exciting events for you. Join your fellow Nittany Lion alumni and friends right here in San Diego and help us show Southern California what Penn State pride is all about. The primary goal of the Penn State Alumni Chapter of San Diego is to raise funds to provide scholarships to San Diego residents who have chosen to attend Penn State University. The scholarships are primarily funded through our annual golf tournament, raffle ticket sales during the football season, individual donations throughout the year and the purchase of SDPSU memberships by fellow alumni and friends.

Local Resident Scholarships
Dues for our chapter memberships help us send a local San Diego resident to Penn State to enjoy the same years in Happy Valley as we had.
